How to get to Nanaimo

How to get to Nanaimo
Want to know how to get to Nanaimo? Take a float plane

Not sure how to get to Nanaimo? Lucky for you, there are various modes of transportation to arrive on Vancouver Island.  BC Ferries has both vehicle and passenger travel. There are three access locations either Horseshoe Bay (North Vancouver ) to Departure Bay in Nanaimo. Sailing time for this vessel is 1 hour 35 minutes. Or Tsawwassen to Duke Point sailing time is 2 hours. The Duke Point terminal is located 15 minutes south of Nanaimo and close to Lakeview Homes.

The Nanaimo airport offers many daily flights via WestJet or Air Canada both in and out of Nanaimo. You might want to take a floatplane into the City and you could travel with either Harbour Air  or Sea Air. The floatplanes are a great option if one or two guests are travelling.  One caution, may be limited luggage weight, be sure to check in peak seasons.

If arriving into Victoria before traveling to Nanaimo, there are a few options including BC Ferries as above, or if traveling from Seattle, as a foot passenger, you could travel on The Clipper. If you have a vehicle you could travel a very scenic route through Port Angeles on the Coho Ferry.

Lakeview Homes is here to assist in your journey to Vancouver Island, so if you have any questions, please contact us anytime.
